What are your hours of operation and holiday schedule?
Dana's Daycare operates daily from 7:00 AM until 6:30 PM all year long. We observe major holidays and provide advance notice of any closures.
What is your educational philosophy or curriculum?
We follow a play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum that focuses on the whole child—social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. We use the Learning Beyond Paper curriculum, which provides detailed, developmentally appropriate lesson plans. Teachers also incorporate creative lessons that focus on weather, seasons, and holidays.
How do you communicate with parents throughout the day?
Parents receive daily updates, photos, and messages through our Procare app. You'll also receive emails regarding special events and updates. If a child becomes ill or is injured, the Director or Assistant Director will contact parents immediately by phone.
Do you provide meals and snacks?
Yes, we provide infant formula, baby food, breakfast, lunch, and two nutritious snacks each day. Meals meet state nutritional guidelines and accommodate common allergies when needed. Menus are emailed to parents at the beginning of every month.
Can I take a tour of the center prior to enrollment?
Absolutely! We encourage families to schedule a tour to meet our staff, explore our classrooms, and see our program in action. We also offer a free trial day so parents can see how their child adjusts to the classroom environment before any money is exchanged.
What safety, security, and health measures are in place?
Our center is equipped with secure entry systems and security cameras in all classrooms. We have strict sign-in/sign-out procedures and comprehensive emergency plans. Each classroom has air purifiers, and we use ozone machines monthly. A professional cleaning company visits monthly for deep cleaning, plus quarterly full deep-cleans.
What qualifications and training do your staff members have?
Our teachers are experienced early childhood professionals with required certifications, background checks, and CPR/First Aid training. Staff participate in ongoing professional development. Most team members have been with the center for five years or more.
What ages do you accept, and how are the classrooms divided?
We accept children from six weeks through twelve years old. Our center has eight classrooms designed for specific age groups. We also offer before and aftercare, summer camp, and care for school-aged children on school closure days.
